"Was there much pain?"
You don't answer nor do you give
me a sign that you heard me. I
know you're hiding in there; your
little safe haven you created where
no one can hurt you again. I wish I
could follow you there.
He informed me you may never
wake up but I don't listen; all I
listen to is your heart beat.
-
"What did they do to you?"
I'm horrified of my curiosity but I
don't want you to leave out any
details of the glory and the gnarly.
I want to know what they put you
through. I want to put your tears
into my jar and smooth your new
scars with love and make up for the
months we have lost.
I want to tell you for those six months
you were gone; you were not left
alone in my heart.
-
"Why are you still not here?"
You are safe now; they can't hurt you
or make you beg for mercy or carve their
names into your flesh or give you false
hope or. I need you to wake up for us.
I finally have you within my reach and
yet I'm still lost.
I hope you know I'm here now, but maybe
you can't open your eyes cause they
swallowed your sparkle of life with death.
-
I think I'll never forget this moment;
you woke up like a Sleeping Beauty
and somehow I'm the prince waiting
to take you home. Now I know we
will be fine, I'll tape the pieces of you
together like a puzzle.
I think it will be a long time till I erase
the sound of your cries from my mind
when I asked you:
"Was there much pain?"

Her Life
I saw her life in those eyes
with cut-throat stares
and withered looks of daze,
each lid half open
and their cores darted where
they thought it was safe.
Her pupils swirled as hurricanes
with streaks of rain
maroon across a razor blade.
Sharing what words can't speak
and luring in the
sting of the day.
I saw her life in that skin,
painted with a tiny needle that could
delve deeper in what she knew
and who she was, then what.
Like an apple tossed aside to rot
darted across were plum-hue stains
and beautiful scars, an abstract dance of
healing and hurt.
Covered in what she screamed,
her body was masked in poetry,

Again
I want to
I really do
I'm scared to
Because of the shame I'm held to
Just once
I promise I won't ever again!
Even I know thats a lie...
Please
I beg over and over...
I want this pain
This drama
This everything to stop
Before I'm swallowed again
I can't breath
I watch them
They snap my ribs one by one
Every one stares
I'd cry
Yes me
I'll cry
Forever, just so you can see
That smile
A sucssessful lie
This make up? The long sleeves?
Just a way to hide
From everything
Everythig I've become
I know I'm a looser
Don't have to tell me twice
I know I'm a failure
And I laugh in despise
A smack to my face?
A punch to the

The Election
The Election
Once in a country not very far away,
An election was coming in a couple of days,
Three candidates with three agendas had set out to run,
The people would choose when the campaigning was done.
Billionaire Donald lived in a tower of gold,
His ego defied logic and his words were so bold,
He intimidated his opponents spewing fear to win,
and promised to make America great again.
Hillary lied at her rallies and acted true blue,
Pantsuit would preach equality as systemic racism grew,
Minorities flocked to her for overdue civil rights,
While her Foundation sold out to other countries every night.
Sweet Bernie cared for the tall and

Hmm I actually really enjoyed the piece
I'm not nuts about the beginning, I wish I could elaborate on that, I'll try to once I get some sleep, but it's a very good piece overall.
